Joel Keys is the Winner of the First Ever Pickens County Biggest Loser Competition.

On Saturday evening, April 18th at the Jasper Middle School gym, the Grand Finale’ for the First Ever Pickens County Biggest Loser Competition was held. All the contestants, their personal trainers, their motivators, team leaders, sponsors, family and friends attended the event to show their support and find out who the winner of the competition was!

Joel Keys was announced as the winner by losing a total of 79 pounds, going from 261 pounds down to 182. What an accomplishment Joel!

Malissa Martin came in 2nd place, barely losing to Joel, with a total of 75 pounds lost. Congratulations Malissa! The hard work Joel and Malissa and the rest of the Biggest Losers put into this competition is nothing but pure dedication. The lived this competition of 13 weeks and showed the entire county of Pickens that if you just put your mind, heart and soul into it, you can do it. You might have to have a little help and friendship and accountability to keep you on track, but you can do whatever you put your mind to, and these contestants showed us that!

Check this out!
